Kamy Tehranchi is the Founder & CEO of Hamme-Kaas International (HKI) and the Managing Partner at Watkins & Associates. Kamy earned a Master of Science degree in Chemical/Natural Gas Engineering from Texas A&M University in Kingsville, Texas. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.

HKI has provided a wide range of Drilling Specialty products since 2006. Many of these products have been used globally by major service companies and Oil & Gas operators. Kamy is a patent holder of a unique environmentally friendly drilling fluid system.

As the Managing Partner with Watkins & Associates since 2002, the company has been ranked, for the last eight consecutive years among Top 10 Executive Search Firms in Houston by the Houston Business Journal. Kamy serves on the Advisory Board of Intelligent Fiber Optics Systems. At this capacity for this Santa Clara based company, he leads the commercialization of the fiber optics technology in the Oil & Gas sector.

Kamy began his career with Halliburton Energy Services in 1981 as a Field Engineer, holding Operational, Engineering Management and Sales functions in the land and offshore sectors. In 1991 he was promoted to International Technical Sales position based in Milan, Italy where he was instrumental in securing long term contracts previously held by major competitors for many years.

In 1993 Kamy was promoted to the Marketing Manager role for the Cementing product line. He was a key member of the team instituting pricing initiatives for the product line. In 1994 Kamy was appointed Latin America Regional Manager with overall P&L responsibility for the cementing business in nine Latin American countries with over 1000 employees.

Through complete reorganization of the business, instituting and implementing service quality programs and focus on clients, dramatic turnaround in revenue and profit resulted. In 1997 Latin American region for the cementing product line was the highest performing region in the company. In 1998 he was appointed to lead the Global strategy team as the Global Product Line Manager. The team was comprised of service quality, technology, finance, operations, manufacturing, business development and marketing. In 1999 he was promoted to Global Strategic Business Manager. At this director level position he played a key role in the restructuring and integration of three major product lines between Halliburton and Dresser Oilfield Services. During the same year he was appointed the strategy team leader for the cementing, drilling fluids, and drilling bits product lines with a combined revenue in excess of 2.5 billion dollars. For the next three years Kamy had a pivotal role in defining short and long term strategies for each product line. Identified synergistic areas across each business unit driving down total operating cost by improving service quality and operational excellence. He had direct responsibility for mergers and acquisitions activities for each product line. Kamy, fluent in five languages, is an active member of several professional and community organizations.
